Criteria for Listing

Ideally, we would like to be able to state that the existence of every card in the listings has been personally verified. Unfortunately, this has not proven to be possible. In some cases it was necessary to apply a degree of editorial judgement. Several unverified cards have been listed because they appear in other sources or, based on deductive reasoning, because it makes sense that a particular card should exist. Likewise, other cards listed by other authors were omitted here, because the authors feel that it is highly unlikely that those cards do in fact exist.

Obviously, the field of Carpatho-Ukrainian stationery awaits new discoveries. The authors would appreciate hearing about such discoveries, including verification of those cards footnoted in the listings as "not verified." Additionally, any compelling evidence that cards listed on the basis of editorial judgement do not in fact exist would also be welcome.
